Intrastate Trucking & Logistics (ITL) has been serving customers since 1986. Their primary business is the movement of freight thorughout California through both Less-than-Truckload (LTL) and truckloads (TL), as well as consolidation and distribution logistics. ITL has three locations throughout California, placing them near every major port. They specialize in overnight service. They have interchange agreements with the major west coast railroads and port facilities.

Approximately 40 full time employees fill office, dock, and managmeent positions, most of which have been with the company for many years. The employees enjoy great benefits. The company also utilizes owner operator drivers and temporary dock and office workers in order to up their service capabilities during busy times. The owner directs day to day efforts through his knowledgable team of key management.

The owner is open to staying on for about a year as a consultant to make the transition smooth for a new owner.

They have nearly doubled their net profit margins from 2004 to 2007 and their already impressive gross profit margins have grown from about 38% in 2004 to about 43% in 2007. Southern California continues to grow as a major distribution center (mostly driven by foreign imports from Asia), making the opportunities for this company’s growth significant and largely untapped.
